Artist Statement
I capture the raw energy of the High Desert’s urban/industrial environments with punk fashion. I use harsh mid-day lighting, combined with a bold, flash-heavy aesthetic. This is to emphasize individuality with a rebellious attitude in my photos. Punk, as a rejection of mainstream culture and as music, has always influenced my work. I want to demonstrate that my photos don’t just showcase fashion, but that each image represents the underground culture of punks in the High Desert.
